no, not really, most of the time. that is how you turn a full lobby into a solo public lobby but if alt f4 doesn't help during a loading screen, suspending the game sadly doesn't help either. sure, trying doesn't hurt but one shouldn't set ones hopes too high there. source: playing GTAO for ~1800 hours, being stuck in loading screen every day once or twice when i'm heisting a lot

How to use. Download the Downgrader. Extract the downloaded 7zip somewhere on your PC but NOT in your GTA IV folder! Run the Executable file (.exe) and follow the steps. It is recommeded to run the downgrader with admin rights! (Right click on the exe, and click on Run as administrator) I can still hear it, the text keeps coming up on the bottom of the screen, but it's just totally black until I hit A and go back to in-game play. And if it's a cutscene that happens during the middle of a mission, the screen freezes at that point unless unless I pause the game and unpause, and then it continues as normal.
